The Democratic Party: A Historical Stain

Every Citizen of the United States is by birth a Historian, and is therefore required to study the past objectively to draw conclusions of the mistakes and achievements made by our Fathers.

Modern Public Educational Institutions fail to meet accuracy when instructing the youth of our Nation on the subject of the Civil War and the causes which compelled. The two opposing entities are often referred to as the “North” and “South”- geographical locations played no role in the causes of the Civil War, instead, two differing political ideologies of the Republican and Democratic Party, one which believed in the securities of the Federal Constitution, Republican form of Government, the preservation of the People’s liberties, due process, law and order; the other believed in the enslavement of man for monetary gain, mob rule, and Treason; which thrusted our Nation into war. This that I assert is of no personal opinion but rather of great Historical Record which can not be intelligently refuted. The ignorance which surrounds the actions of the Democratic Party is of such great proportion, that it is of my interpretation and personal experience that the Public Educational system is intentionally leaving out vital details which expose the Democratic Party for what it really is; The Party of Treason and Slavery.

We are 24 years into the 21st Century, nearly a quarter of a century, and to the very date of this writing, the Civil War remains the bloodiest conflict in National History; greater than the American Revolution, War of 1812, World War 1, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and all the foreign quarrels which have come and gone. The Civil War was fought with such intensity because it was necessary. The greatest threat to our National Government, Constitution, Liberty, and Property came not from a foreign adversary, but of a domestic one. The enemy (The Democratic Party) declared themselves an Alien to the Union and were therefore unprotected by the Constitution. The Union Men viewed the attack at Fort Sumter on April 11th, 1861 as an invasion. The Democratic Party in their unlawful capacity formed a confederacy and adopted their own Constitution and Laws. Within the Confederate Constitution, the primary focus was not to secure Liberty for all men, but to deny it. Article I, Section 9(4), of the Confederate Constitution classified “Negro Men” as property and Constitutionally enshrined a protection for Slave Holding Men. The objective of the Democratic Party was clear to Union Men, the causes to suppress the Rebellion and preserve the Union were initiated.

As the dry pages of American History behold, the Union was victorious. The surrender of the Confederate Army came at a bloody price, Lee and his Army were defeated by the brave and gallant Armies of Ulysses, Sherman, and Buell. Nonetheless, Lincoln was assassinated shortly after and per the Constitution of the United States, it was the Vice President who shall succeed. Lincoln and his effort to preserve the Union picked Andrew Johnson, a self taught Democrat from Tennessee, as his Vice Presidential pick. The difficult efforts of Reconstruction were met with fierce opposition from Johnson and the Southern States, which though defeated, seemed to be emboldened by a Democrat holding the Executive Office after a shameful surrender. The Southern States under the direction of Andrew Johnson, erected new Governments which sought to deny suffrage to a newly liberated people which up until that year, were enslaved. With this change, Black Republicans became a target, and in New Orleans in the summer of 1866, city policed killed 40 Black Republicans and injured 160 more at a peaceful convention. Republicans laid this massacre at the feet of Johnson, accused him of creating an environment of hostility by his Southern Policies. Of the many policies Johnson created to halt the reconstruction effort, the worst arguably was granting to all the Southern Loyalists in the rebellion amnesty.

The question which I now pose to you fellow Citizens, how, after all this destruction committed by the Democratic Party which led to the bloodiest war in National History, the murder of Abraham Lincoln, the massacre of many Black Americans, the purposeful design of a Party which views the Constitution as an illegal document and that man can be enslaved; was able to survive the years? Ought it be our duty to eradicate from our political society such a destructive Party which greatly obstructed our National progress and stained our Historical Record? Shall we live in peace with people who by their vote, perpetrate the destruction of our Laws and Republic? It is our duty to reevaluate the Educational curriculum which instructs the youth of these sensitive topics, to ensure that Truth is the priority, and that the youth of America are molded into educated Citizens?
